Implements scalable projects across a range of types in the city’s 22 Strategic Investment Areas and Corridors of Opportunity, including $5 million for targeted street resurfacing.

Completes critical sidewalk gaps and strategic sidewalk connections, guided by the Strategic Mobility Plan and the Pedestrian Priority Network, including accessibility improvements required by the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Expands the city’s bicycle network through targeted projects that repurpose existing infrastructure to create safe space for cyclists, guided by the Strategic Mobility Plan and Bicycle Priority Network.

Supports the inspection, repair, and replacement of bridges throughout the city, identified through the biennial inspection program required by the NC Department of Transportation.

Supports maintenance and replacement of outdated traffic control equipment such as traffic signals, pedestrian signals, detection devices, and signs.

Supports maintenance and replacement of traffic management equipment such as fiber optic communications systems.

Funds large projects that deliver transformational mobility improvements across the city and incorporate multimodal options for vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles, and transit, including two major intersection rebuilds, one new street, and complete-street upgrades to four existing streets.
